Calculator Terminology
- 成本 of Attendance: Includes estimates for tuition and 费用; books and supplies; room and board; and other expenses that students may incur while in college. Also referred to as Price of Attendance. For further information, click here.
- Estimated Family Contribution (EFC): The amount your family is expected to contribute towards your cost of attending college. This amount is determined by the US Department of Education from the information provided on the FAFSA.
- FAFSA: Free Application for Federal Student Aid, http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/, must be completed to determine eligibility for federal and state aid.
- 生活奖学金: SC high school students who graduate with a cumulative 3.0 GPA and meet all LIFE eligibility requirements. For the LIFE criteria, click here.
